    Pre-requisites:

    • 12th passing certificate or (equivalent education certificates)
    • Basic vocational proficiency in English and Hindi preferred.

    • Have a grasp and understanding of consoles and studio workflows using analog and digital audio equipment.
    • Learn to evaluate, operate and place microphones for recordings in various mono, stereo and multi miking setups.
    • Learn to evaluate the audio spectrum through critical listening exercises.
    • Become proficient in the art of multitrack song mixing, employing an industry standard mixing workflow.

    • The course will serve to give students a first hand working experience in an industry wide recognised DAW - Cubase. This digital audio workstation is popular and encompasses all the tools for music independent, and professional music production.
    • Consoles are an integral part of audio recording and mixing. These would be covered in good detail to students, which enables them to have a firm grasp on the operating principles of the consoles, signal routing and gain staging for recording and mixing music.
    • The various types of microphone design, polar patterns, mono, stereo and multi miking techniques will be covered in good detail and give students a practical understanding of the various scenarios in which these are used.
