Eligibility for Advanced Music Production

Pre-requisites:

• Foundation skills for music.
• 12th passing certificate or (equivalent education certificates)
• Basic vocational proficiency in English and Hindi preferred.
• Performing musician is a plus.

Course Objectives

• Master audio and production fundamentals.
• Learn the advances of music theory and its application in film scoring, orchestration, and music production.
• Grasp the advances of sound synthesis and sound design.
• Undertake orchestration, film scoring, and advanced music production projects.
• Learn to arrange music for a variety of styles and outcomes.
• Understand the complexities of the music business and learn to navigate it, to be successful and presentable music entrepreneurs.
• Undertake an industry internship* to apply the learned skills and seek opportunities to enhance their composition skills and workflow in real-world scenarios, working with leading composers of the film and music industry.

Learning Outcomes

• Be taught the complexities of sound theory.
• Apply advanced compositional techniques, applying music theory knowledge to create orchestral scores and compose for films and adverts.
• Analyze arrangement styles and learn to craft stylistic and compelling arrangements for film scores and produced music.
• Create film scores and orchestrate compositions.
• Learn to write music in a variety of styles.
• Be taught to mix and master music, preparing it for distribution formats.
• Be able to design sounds for film, games, animation, and music using advanced sound synthesis techniques.
• Become proficient in the use of industry-leading software such as Logic Pro.
• Ableton Live, enabling students to work in professional and contemporary production environments as well-informed audio professionals and music producers.
