Eligibility for Certificate in Music Production

Pre-requisites:

• 12th passing certificate or (equivalent education certificates)
• Basic vocational proficiency in English and Hindi preferred.

Course Objectives

• To establish a firm foundation in audio fundamentals, music theory, and digital audio production via industry standard workstations such as Logic Pro.
• To develop working knowledge of microphones and miking techniques.
• Learn to proficiently use Logic Pro to record, write, and arrange music.
• Become hands-on with mixing concepts and digital audio signal flow.
• Develop ear training and critical listening skills along with production knowledge, to skillfully make processing and mix balance decisions.

Learning Outcomes

The comprehensive 6 month program in music production focuses on the skillful development of music production enthusiasts, toward the culmination of their skills to create music for various media and learn to work with Logic Pro, a flagship music production software.

By the end of the course, you will:

• Become proficient in sound theory, sound wave propagation, and the physics of sound.
• Understand music theory, which will aid in composing music more meaningfully and help with writing elements such as melodies, harmonies, bass, leads, and also assist with tuning rhythmic elements.
• Learn to use an industry standard digital audio workstation (DAW), Logic Pro, for production, composition, and mixing.
• Be taught to work with microphones in various home and professional recording scenarios.
• Learn to arrange and mix music.
